From my earliest days, I’ve possessed a keen eye for detail and a heart stirred by creativity—gifts I attribute to the grace of God and the nurturing hands of my family.
My father, a home builder, labored with a steadfast dedication, crafting homes from their foundations to their rooftops. My mother, a homemaker with an artist’s soul, filled our lives with beauty through her gentle talents. Together, they cultivated in me a reverence for integrity and abilities to harmonize discipline and imagination.
As a youth, I found serene inspiration in drawing and crafting, guided by mentors who generously shared their wisdom and time. My father’s job sites became a second school, where I observed the resolve of entrepreneurs—subcontractors who taught me the weight of serving a client’s vision with diligence. Mathematics, too, became a strength; I excelled in geometry and scored just shy of perfect on the SAT math section—a blessing I scarcely understood until later.
College unveiled a path I hadn’t foreseen: graphic design, a discipline where organization and artistry entwine. With only a novice grasp of Photoshop, I entered a program that patiently led me from fine art to handcrafted graphical layouts to digital mastery. Courses in typography, color theory, and print production enriched my understanding, and by graduation, I presented a portfolio—an offering of diverse works—at a culminating exhibit.
Since then, I’ve been privileged to refine these gifts through meaningful endeavors. Early commissions, like brochures for a local realtor, gave way to a formative tenure with a Fortune 100 medical device company, where I glimpsed the precision of a professional design office.
In a multi-year stint living on Hawaii’s Big Island, I poured my efforts into branding and packaging for Big Island Booch, a kombucha company that has grown to prominence across the islands—a role I’m honored to continue as they expand.
From logo and merch designs for influencers like Cody Tries Stuff to branding and signage for small businesses, each project has deepened my relationship with my craft.
Today, through RLDC, I offer branding and many other forms of design—specializing in startups, rebrands, and the distinct needs for stationery, packaging, and apparel. My approach is one of listening: I seek to understand a client’s vision, study what resonates with their audience, and illuminate their unique story through designs that reflect their essence.
My business is sustained by word-of-mouth and the joy of collaboration. I follow a calling to serve, rooted in the lessons of my youth and the talents I’ve been given—not for my own glory, but for the good of those who trust me to help them succeed.
