Haumea Collective is a non-profit organization in Hilo, Hawaii that provides postpartum support for new mothers. The founder is Charlotte Leger, and I helped her create the organization’s logo based off of a sketch she made depicting Hawaiian goddess of fertility, Haumea, cradling the earth in her womb, sittin within an egg-shaped moon vessel.

The whole logo is done in a fine and fragile line weight, lending the impression of the vulnerable time during which the organization lends its support.

The type matches the same weight, and the whole logo portrays a tender paradox of swollen forms drawn in light weight linework.
